Yesterday, January 30th, 2014, Detective Knight of the Spokane Valley Police Department arrested 30-year-old Richard D. Hall for multiple counts of Burglary and other felony charges concerning the “Protection of Cemeteries”. Detective Knight was able to
establish probable cause; Hall had been gaining access to cemetery facilities in the Spokane Valley and unincorporated Spokane County. Hall was taking items from memorial niches where family members can place keepsakes of their loved ones.
Yesterday, January 30th, at about 9:00 a.m., an alert employee at Fairmount Memorial Park called to advise that Hall had been spotted at Fairmount Memorial Park Cemetery in the City of Spokane. Spokane Police Patrol Officers were able to quickly respond and
detain Hall until Detective Knight could arrive.
• Hall was arrested without incident and booked into the Spokane County Jail for 2-counts of 2nd Degree Burglary and 2-counts of Protection of Cemeteries.
