Today, October 23rd, 2013, at 6:00 p.m., Spokane Valley Sheriff's Deputies responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision on Sprague Ave. east of Pines Road. Witnesses told deputies a 23-year-old male was waiting for the bus on the north side of Sprague
when he ran across west and eastbound lanes of travel southbound on Sprague Avenue.
A vehicle traveling eastbound on Sprague, in the far left lane of travel, struck the pedestrian on the driver's side of the vehicle. The pedestrian struck the driver's side window of the vehicle.
Collision investigators responded and are currently diagramming the scene. The 43-year-old male driver has been cooperative and impairment is not believed to be a factor. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and the investigation
