1. When is the DMLC open to the public?

The DMLC is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 10-4 pm. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Weekday public hours will return in the spring, though a specific date has not been selected as it is weather dependent.

2. Can I volunteer at the DMLC?

Absolutely! If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out our interest form. When opportunities for volunteering become available, we will reach out to you. We appreciate everyone’s help in making this learning center successful and beneficial to the community.

3. Can I sign my class up for a field trip to the DMLC?

We are excited to offer field trips beginning in the 2023-2024 school year! We are currently planning a 5^th grade field trip program in partnership with Central Valley School District and East Valley School District where every 5^th grade class will visit the center either in the spring or the fall, and teachers will also get training on how to use the center. Outside of this program, any field trip openings we have will be offered on a first come, first served basis. If you have a group that would like to plan a field trip for the DMLC, please contact us at wrc@spokanecounty.org.

4. Can I host meetings at the DMLC?

The DMLC is not currently available for meetings. We are working on a system to allow organizations to rent the DMLC for public meetings and expect to have it operational in the fall of 2023. Please check back in the fall for more information!
