SPOKANE COUNTY, September 6, 2019 – Road construction and maintenance projects continue throughout Spokane County. Motorists should watch for flaggers and anticipate possible delays.
ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Aero-Westbow
Adding a roundabout. The road is open, but still some construction occurring. Watch for equipment, flaggers, possible delays. Completed: 10/31/19
Aero Rd: from Westbow Rd to Westbow Rd
Flaggers May Be Present (Both Directions, All Lanes): Intersection is open as a stop controlled roundabout, until illumination is operational.
Bigelow Gulch Phase 4
Clearing and grubbing, adding culverts, guardrail and pavement. The road is open on the south alignment. Watch for flaggers and be prepared to stop. In the next few weeks traffic will be switched to the north alignment. Completed: 9/30/19

Flaggers May Be Present (Both Directions, All Lanes): REDUCED SPEED LIMIT 35mph. OPEN to traffic. There are weight restrictions of 16,000 pounds

Elk Chattaroy Bridge & Approach---***** BRIDGE OPEN*****
Rehabilitation of the concrete deck by hydro-demolishing the existing slab,replacing the top reinforcing steel.The asphalt approaches will be raised to match the new deck elevation. Completed 10/31/19

Euclid Rd Bridge Closure – After finding two critical failures in the substructure, Spokane County Public Works closed access to the bridge which is owned by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
