Traffic Restrictions and Delays

December 14-21, 2018

  
SPOKANE COUNTY, December 14, 2018 – The extended forecast calls for snow in the mountains and rain at lower elevations. This means that road construction and maintenance projects are continuing throughout Spokane County. Please slow down when approaching a construction zone, follow the signs/signals and watch for flaggers.


CONSTRUCTION

Bigelow Gulch/Forker Intersection
Impacts to Bigelow Gulch from Palmer to Forker Road during the reconstruction of the intersection. SLOW DOWN and watch for signage. This is still an active construction zone.

Bigelow Gulch Rd: from Argonne Rd to Forker Rd
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Truck Traffic Violators will be ticketed.

Forker Rd: from Pleasant Prairie Rd to Progress Rd
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Road is Open. Watch for flaggers. SLOW DOWN and watch for signage. This is still an active construction zone.

Bigelow Gulch Rd: from Forker Rd to Forker Rd
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Speed limit is 25mph from Evergreen to Jacobs, slow down, use caution and watch for workers adjacent to roadway. **NEW TRAFFIC PATTERNS-Possible Single Lane closures under the bridge both North and South. Be prepared to stop.

MAINTENANCE
(Road maintenance projects are subject to change due to weather conditions and other road maintenance priorities)

Culvert/Drywell cleanout
Crews will be cleaning culverts & drywells as part of Stormwater maintenance

Grading

Winter Plowing, Sanding/De-Icing
Plowing, sanding and/or de-icing of major intersections, around schools, and hilly residential neighborhoods will be done as needed during the winter months.
