Traffic Restrictions and Delays

November 30-December 7, 2018

  
SPOKANE COUNTY, November 30, 2018 – As work continues on the Bigelow Gulch-Forker Road Corridor Project, please slow down, pay attention to traffic signs and watch for flaggers.

CONSTRUCTION
 
Bigelow Gulch
Improvement of the Bigelow Gulch Corridor connecting Forker Road to Progress Road via a new alignment north of the existing intersection (Forker & Progress). NEW TRAFFIC PATTERN. Forker Road terminates North of Evergreen/Progress

Progress Rd: from Forker Rd to Spokane Valley City Limits
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Utility work will be adjacent to Forker and
Progress Road. Flaggers may be present, be prepared to stop. SLOW DOWN and watch for signage. This is still an active construction zone.
 
Forker Rd: from Jacobs Rd to Progress Rd
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Utility work is adjacent to Forker, allow extra time, expect delays. Intermittent flagging. SLOW DOWN and watch for signage. This is still an active construction zone.
 
Bigelow Gulch/Forker Intersection
Impacts to Bigelow Gulch from Palmer to Forker due to construction activities for the
reconstruction of the intersection. SLOW DOWN and watch for signage. This is still an active construction zone. Spokane County Public Works: Construction: (509) 477-3600
 
Bigelow Gulch Rd: from Forker Rd to Forker Rd
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Drivers are now on the new alignment. Speed limit is 25mph from Evergreen to Jacobs, slow down, use caution and watch for workers adjacent to roadway. **NEW TRAFFIC PATTERNS-Signs in place to help navigate the new alignment***.

Bigelow Gulch Rd: from Argonne Rd to Forker Rd
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Truck Traffic Violators will be ticketed.
 
Forker Rd: from Pleasant Prairie Rd to Progress Rd
No Truck Traffic (Both Directions, All Lanes): Road is Open. Watch for flaggers. SLOW
DOWN and watch for signage. This is still an active construction zone.
 
INSTALL POLES ON CRAIG RD
INSTALL POLES ON CRAIG RD 1300' SOUTH OF MCFARLANE RD, CLOSE NORTH
BOUND LANE OF CRAIG RD.
 
Craig Rd: from McFarlane Rd to McFarlane Rd
Lane Closed (Northbound, Right Lane): INSTALL POLES ON CRAIG RD 1300' SOUTH OF MCFARLANE RD, CLOSE NORTH BOUND LANE OF CRAIG RD

MAINTENANCE
(Road maintenance projects are subject to change due to weather conditions and other road maintenance priorities)
 
Culvert/Drywell cleanout
Crews will be cleaning culverts & drywells as part of Stormwater maintenance

Grading
