Solid Waste Rates Increase on January 1, 2021

North County and Valley Transfer Stations

  
SPOKANE COUNTY, November 30, 2020 – The Spokane County Regional Solid Waste System will increase solid waste rates (gate fees) beginning on January 1, 2021.  The increases will affect only the North County and Valley Transfer Stations.

Material                         Rates Starting Jan 2021

Garbage per ton                       $110.00

Garbage minimum fee               $17.00
(first 280 lbs,
includes the $2 EPC*)

Clean Green per ton                  $53.00

Clean Green minimum fee         $10.00
(first 300 lbs,
includes the $2 EPC*)

* A $2 Environmental Programs Charge (EPC) is added to the transaction for every vehicle.

The rate increases will affect only the North County and Valley Transfer Stations.   

  • North County Transfer & Recycling Station
           22123 N. Elk-Chattaroy Road
           (Intersection Elk-Chattaroy Road and Highway 2)
  • Valley Transfer & Recycling Station

           3941 N. Sullivan Road
           (South of Trent across from Spokane Industrial Park)
