Sheriff’s Office Welcomes 2 New Entry-Level Deputies

 

On February 1, 2023, Spokane County Sheriff John Nowels swore in two new Entry-Level Deputies.   Please help us welcome Deputy D. Meyer and Deputy L. Salladay to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office.            

 

Deputy Daniel Meyer is 21 years old and was born and raised in Spokane Valley.  He graduated from University High School while taking advantage of the Head Start program before earning a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Eastern Washington University in 2022.   

 

Deputy Luke Salladay is 26 years old and was born in Vancouver, Washington.  He lived most of his life in Spokane, graduating from Five Mile Prairie High School in 2014.  Deputy Salladay earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Eastern Washington University in 2017 and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Arizona State University in 2020.  He also serves as an Intelligence Officer in the Washington State National Guard.
