Crews Widen Roads, Sand and Deice Before Temps Drop
Forecast warns of below freezing temperatures
SPOKANE COUNTY, December 12, 2022 – Crews worked long hours through the weekend to finish the county’s main arterials and secondary roads (Priority One and Two). Some progress was made in residential areas and more work will be done today.
After this weekend’s slushy mess, crews are trying to complete the entire county road system (5,100+ lane miles). Property owners are reminded to clear snow and debris away from storm drains before temperatures drop below freezing.
While crews complete clearing the system and widen previously plowed roads, they are also sanding and applying deicer. Please remember to stay at least 50-feet behind our snow removal equipment and never attempt to pass on the right
