SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash, – In observance of Veteran’s Day, most Spokane County offices will be closed on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. The Spokane County Courthouse (including Municipal, District and Superior Courts), Public Works Building, Public Safety Building, Veterans Services, Community Services, Parks and Recreation, and SCRAPS will be closed.

The offices of the Spokane County Regional Solid Waste System will be closed. All three Transfer Stations: North County, Spokane Valley and the Waste-to-Energy Facility will remain open for business.

Spokane County wishes to thank all who have served our nation in the military for their service and their sacrifice. In advance of the upcoming Veterans Day holiday, The Courthouse will be illuminated green November 7-13th as part of Operation Green Light, a new national initiative of the National Association of Counties (NACo) to support military veterans, as well as raise awareness about unique challenges faced by many veterans. Spokane County residents are encouraged to join in recognition, support, and appreciation for our nation’s veteran heroes and their families.

The lighting event will kick-off at 4:00 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2022 on the Courthouse lawn area between the Public Works Building and the Law Enforcement Memorial on the County Campus, located at 1026 W. Broadway Avenue.
