UPDATE:  Search and Rescue Volunteers Locate Person believed to be Missing Vulnerable Adult

Spokane County Search and Rescue Volunteers located a person believed to be Shaan P. Aujla, deceased, this evening just after 9:00 pm.   Deputies remain at the scene of this tragic discovery (private property, east of S. Benn Burr Rd. and E. Jamieson Rd.) as they continue to investigate, although initial information indicates he sustained injuries consistent with a fall.  

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will work to positively determine the identity of the deceased in addition to their cause and manner of death.

Missing Vulnerable Adult: Shaan P. Aujla

Spokane Valley and Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies are attempting to locate 20-year-old Shaan P. Aujla and are asking for your help.  

Shaan P. Aujla is a 20-year-old with medical needs and functions at a mid-teen level.   On July 28, 2022, at approximately 7:00 pm, he and his puppy left his residence, 1600 block of S. Stanley Lane on foot and has not returned.  The puppy was located in the area, but efforts to find Shaan have not been successful, and his family is extremely concerned.  

Shaan P. Aujla is of Indian descent (India), male, 5’08”, 130 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.  He is believed to be on foot and was last seen wearing a dark-colored t-shirt, blue athletic shorts, and dark-colored Nike slides/sandals.
