PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Spokane County Public Works is proposing this project to improve drainage and eliminate ponding in the roadway by installing stormwater pipes and catch basins to direct stormwater to existing detention ponds.
PROJECT LOCATION: The project is in the West Terrace area southwest of the City of Spokane and south of the Spokane airport. Work will take place along Hayford Rd, Richland Rd, Fruitvale Rd, Strawberry Rd, Raspberry Rd, Blackberry Rd and Barberry Rd. Section 7, Township 24N, Range 42E Spokane County, WA

SEPA Environmental Review: Spokane County has reviewed the proposed project for probable adverse environmental impacts and expects to issue a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS). This determination is based on the following findings and conclusions:
Environmental Review of this project has shown no potential for significant negative impacts as a result of construction. Best Management Practices will be used on site to mitigate minor impacts from construction. Spokane County will obtain all required permits from local and state agencies and comply with any conditions associated with these permits.
The optional DNS process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This may be your only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project.
Agencies, tribes, and the public are encouraged to review and comment on the proposed project and its probable environmental impacts.
