Wanted Suspect, Joshua W. Seth, Arrested

 

This morning, at approximately 9:15 am., several Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 3800 block of S. Geiger BLVD for a “tip” that wanted suspect 30-year-old Joshua W. Seth, considered armed and dangerous, was possibly in the area.

 

Deputies located the room Seth was believed to be in and surrounded the location.  

 

Sergeant Hansen contacted the individuals inside the room and confirmed Seth was inside.  The three, including Seth, followed commands and slowly exited the room with their hands visible.  Deputy Hays, Deputy Moffett, Deputy Carlos, and Sergeant Hansen safely detained all three, pending identification and additional investigation.

 

Seth’s identification was confirmed, and he was advised he was under arrest.  The two additional people detained could face charges pending what is learned as this investigation continues.     

 

Major Crimes Detectives responded to assist, conduct interviews, and process the scene for evidence.   

 

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and Spokane Valley Police Department would like to thank everyone who provided tips and information during this investigation.   We would like to also thank Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest for their continued dedication and work to promote public safety and keep our community safe.

Anyone with information/tips regarding this incident is urged to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS or go to www.p3tips.com.  Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward.

Press Release for April 1, 2022:           

 

UPDATE: Shooting Suspect Joshua W. Seth Wanted 

** Should be Considered Armed and Dangerous  **

 

Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives have identified the suspect of Wednesday’s shooting at the Red Top Motel, which left an adult female victim hospitalized with life-threatening wounds.

 

Through the investigation, Detectives developed probable cause to charge 30-year-old Joshua W. Seth with Attempted Murder 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Drive-By Shooting, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Attempt to Elude.

 

This afternoon, Major Crimes Detective Nathan Bohanek obtained a warrant for Seth’s arrest for the noted charges.  

 

Joshua W. Seth is believed to be armed and should be Considered Armed and Dangerous.   

Do NOT approach in you see him and call 9-1-1.

Release from March 30, 2022:

 

Major Crimes Detectives Investigate Shooting at Red Top Motel

 

Spokane Valley Major Crime Detectives and additional Crime Scene Investigators are at the scene of a shooting that left one person hospitalized, in critical condition.  

 

On March 30, 2022, at approximately 11:45 pm., Spokane Valley Deputies responded to the report of a shooting at the Red Top Motel, 7217 E. Trent Avenue.  

 

Responding Deputies located an adult female victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.   She was provided medical attention and transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she is listed in critical condition.

 

A second victim, who was with the shooting victim, was not injured.  

 

From the initial information learned at the scene, Investigators do not believe this was an indiscriminate shooting.  At this time, there is no known threat to the public directly stemming from this incident. 

This is an active and ongoing investigation, and no arrests have been made.
