
Deputies Investigate School Threat
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Deputies are investigating a phone threat to Mead High School. As a precaution to ensure the safety of students and staff, additional Deputies remained at the school this afternoon while this threatening call was being investigated.
This afternoon, January 19, 2022, Mead High School staff received a threatening phone call from an unidentified person. School Resource Deputy Young was notified, and the situation was assessed. School Administrators moved the school into a modified lockdown, and additional Deputies responded to assist with the investigation and provide added safety/security for students and staff.
Investigators are working to determine the identity of the person who placed this call and do not believe the threat was credible.
