Spokane County Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Unit Detective Brad Humphrey is asking for the public’s help as he investigates reports of a completely nude male runner in the Minnehaha Park-Beacon Hill area. These incidents were not reported until recently, but accounts from two witnesses indicate this has occurred several times throughout late summer into December of 2021.
Anyone who has observed this naked male jogger in or around the Minnehaha Park or Beacon Hill area over the last year is asked to contact Detective Humphrey at 509-477-3028.
Recently, Sexual Assault Unit Detective Brad Humphrey began investigating reports of a naked male jogger in the area of Minnehaha Park-Beacon Hill. A female victim reported she first observed the suspect while on a run in the early morning/dawn hours last summer (2021). At first, on several occasions, the male was wearing typical running attire (shorts, running shirt/singlet), but then, she started to see the male running completely naked except for running shoes. The male would frequently have a medium-sized dog with him.
Then, in December of 2021 (dark/early morning), the victim was running repeating inclines in the area while wearing a headlamp and again observed the male running with his dog. He was completely naked except for running shoes, arm sleeves, and a headlamp despite the approximate 35-degree temperature. As she repeatedly ran the portion of the trail where she was training, she passed the male several times but became increasingly alarmed when she noticed the male’s actions became more sexual in nature.
The victim’s accounts of the naked jogger were echoed by another victim who called in recently to report similar activity.
The male is described as tall, with brown hair and an athletic build.
If you have seen this naked male jogging in the Minnehaha Park-Beacon Hill area or have any information regarding this investigation, you are asked to contact Detective Humphrey at 509-477-3028.
