A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for what could be the biggest snowfall of the season. It will begin snowing Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon. County road crews have been clearing the 1-2 inches that fell on Tuesday and prepping for this next round of snow (4-7 inches) by putting down sand mixed with salt and deicer. Crews will work 12-hour shifts to keep emergency routes and primary arterials clear. They hope to make progress on Friday and start working in residential areas this weekend.
Motorists are reminded to drive for road conditions (slow down and leave plenty of room for stopping), stay 50-feet behind road maintenance equipment and NEVER attempt to pass on the right.
