UPDATE: Murder Suspect, Kayla J. Holden, Arrested
Spokane Valley Major Crime Detectives continuing to work this investigation now have a second murder suspect, 29-year-old Kayla J. Holden, in custody.
Holden was arrested last night after information was received from an anonymous Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest tipster. Spokane Police Officers responded to the location, and Holden was safely taken into custody.
Major Crimes Detectives working the investigation were made aware of the arrest.
Holden was booked into the Spokane County Jail for Murder 1st Degree and Robbery 1st Degree with her bond set at $1,000,000. She was also booked on several additional, unrelated charges.
This remains an active investigation, and additional arrests and charges are possible.

Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest Offers a Cash Reward for information that helps Detectives locate 29-year-old Kayla J. Holden. Holden is wanted for Murder 1st Degree and Robbery 1st Degree in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on October 11, 2021, near the intersection of S. Custer Road and E. 1st Avenue. The victim, 37-year-old Allyson R. Davis, died at the hospital.
Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives investigating this fatal incident have developed probable cause to charge Kayla Holden with Murder 1st Degree and Robbery 1st Degree, and they are asking for your help locating her.
On October 14, 2021, Detectives arrested 42-year-old Jerome J. Lee Jr., charging him with Murder 1st Degree and Robbery 1st Degree in connection with this incident.

Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in Spokane Valley
Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a shooting in Spokane Valley where the adult female died of her injuries. This incident remains an active investigation as Investigators work to determine what occurred.

On October 11, 2021, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Spokane Police Officers and Spokane Valley Deputies responded to the report of a male who had just dropped off a female with a gunshot wound at Sacred Heart Medical Center.
It was determined the shooting occurred near S. Custer Rd. and E. 1st St. in Spokane Valley.
The male who drove the adult female victim to the hospital was contacted and is being interviewed.
Initial information indicates the male driver and female victim were approached by two people, who the driver described as a white female and a possibly Hispanic male, asking for a ride.
During the interaction, the white female pulled out a handgun, and a struggle took place. During the scuffle, the pistol fired, and the victim was shot.
The driver believes the white female suspect, the male she was with, and a third person, possibly a black male, ran from the area on foot.
The male driver took the female to the Sacred Heart Emergency Room, where she was provided medical attention but was later pronounced deceased.
The male driver has an unrelated felony Failure to Appear Idaho warrant for his arrest (dangerous drugs) and is being interviewed by Major Crimes Detectives.
It is very early in this investigation, and confirmed information is limited. Detectives continue to diligently work to determine the facts of what led up to and why this deadly shooting occurred, and who is responsible.
Investigators are attempting to locate 29-year-old Kayla J. Holden as they believe she may have information regarding this investigation. Holden is described as 5’08”, approximately 200 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Holden is only wanted for questioning and has not been charged in connection with this investigation.
