ROAD CONSTRUCTION

57th Ave- Perry St. to Mt. Vernon Rd.

Constructing ADA ramps, median island construction, HMA grinding and paving. The road is open to through traffic and speed reduced to 25-mph. There may be a possible closure on October 20th and 26th due to paving. Motorists are advised to be cautious around workers and equipment near the edge of the roadway. Completed: November 30, 2021.
 
Appleway Ave Reconstuction – Full Road Closure on Monday, September 13 2021.
Improvement of Appleway Ave. by removing asphalt and concrete pavement, planning bituminous pavement, grading and shaping crushed surfacing, HMA, guardrail, pavement markings. Completed: November 30, 2021.
          Appleway Av: from Spokane Bridge Rd to Spokane Bridge Rd
          Motorists should expect delays in both directions and all lanes at the intersection of Appleway Ave. and Spokane Bridge Rd. Appleway from the Liberty Lake City limits
          to Spokane Bridge Road is open to through traffic. Please slow-down in the work zone.
 
Bigelow Gulch Phase 3
Road Reconstruction (remove and replace), culverts, stormwater, guardrails and illumination system. Completed: October 31, 2021.
          Weile Ave: from Thierman Rd to Bigelow Gulch Rd
          
Motorists should expect lane restrictions (both directions, both lanes). Road is OPEN!
 
Columbia Dr-Northwood to Argonne.
Roadway Excavation, ADA ramp installation, pavement removal and repaving. Lane closures and flagging. Full closure – traffic detour is through Jacobs, Thierman, Jensen, Bigelow, Elton and Northwood. Completed: October 25, 2021.

Road Closed: Road closed for project.
 
Frideger Road Bridge Replacement
The road is CLOSED while the existing bridge is being removed for the construction of a new structure over the Little Spokane River. The project includes the removal of the existing roadway and widening with the construction of the new roadway. Completed: October 31, 2021.
          Frideger Rd: from Bridge #4902 Over Little Spokane River to Bridge #4902
          Over Little Spokane River – Road is CLOSED – Bridge OUT!
          
Flaggers may be present (both directions, all lanes): Detour route in place on Bridges Road, Madison Road and Frideger Road.
 
Wellesley Railroad Crossing Improvement
Removing pavement, crushed surfacing top course, HMA, cement concrete curb, guide posts, pavement markings, permanent signing, temporary traffic control. Completed: November 30, 2021.

Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes): Watch for flagger's, road closures, lane restrictions, detour route.
 
          Garland Av: from Molter Rd to Murray Rd

Water and Sewer Main Access
M&L Construction (509-993-0548) is working on water and sewer main access from the westside of Orchard to Westover going north. Date: October 19, 2021.
          Orchard Rd: from Westover Ln to Briarcliff Ln
          
Road closed – detour on Westover Lane.

Asphalt Overlay on Various Roads in Spokane County

Overlay is a paving method of applying a new layer of asphalt to a deteriorating surface.
          Short Rd: from Deer Park City Limits to Montgomery Rd.
          
Motorists should expect delays in both directions and all lanes. Be prepared to stop
          and watch for flaggers. Completed: October 21, 2021.
 
          Prairie View Rd: from Collins Rd to Portland St.
          
Motorists should expect delays in both direction and all lanes. Be prepared to stop
          and watch for flaggers. Completed: October 21, 2021.
 
          Seven Mile Rd: from Inland Rd to River Rock Ln.
          
Motorists should expect delays in both direction and all lanes. Be prepared to stop
          and watch for flaggers. Completed: October 21, 2021.
 
          Monroe Rd: from Austin Rd to Woolard Rd.
          
Motorists should expect delays in both direction and all lanes. Be prepared to stop
          and watch for flaggers. Dates: October 18-21, 2021.

Crack Sealing on Garland Avenue

Crack Sealing on Garland Avenue from Farr Rd to Herald Rd, to prevent further break-up of the asphalt surface. Dates: October 20-21, 2021.

          Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists are asked to slow-down and to watch for flaggers.
 
Shoulder Preservation on Various Roads in Spokane County
Grade and add gravel to build up sides of road on gravel shoulder. Completed: October 21, 2021.
          Elk-Chattaroy Rd: from Elk-Camden Rd to Nelson Rd.
          
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists are asked to slow-down and to watch for flaggers.

          South Bank Rd
: from Charles Rd to End Dirt/Start Gravel
          
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists are asked to slow-down and to watch for flaggers.

          Andrus Rd
: from Cheney-Spokane Rd to Spotted Rd
          Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists are asked to slow-down and to watch for flaggers.

          Bradshaw Rd
: from Fairfield City Limits to Starr Rd
          Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists are asked to slow-down and to watch for flaggers.

          Old SR-195 Hy
: from Powers Rd to South Spangle Rd
          Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists are asked to slow-down and to watch for flaggers.

          Molter Rd
: from Elder Rd to Stringham Rd
          Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists are asked to slow-down and to watch for flaggers.
