Support Staff Sign-On Bonus Offered by Spokane County Sheriff’s Office

Several Administrative and Automotive Technician Openings 

 

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office has several support staff employment opportunities currently open for application. These openings range from entry-level positions to those needing experience. In addition to the opportunity of starting a career serving the Citizens of Spokane County, a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 is available for new full-time hires. 

(Some Conditions Apply, Persons Already Employed with Spokane County are Not Eligible to receive the sign-on bonus) 

 

SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS CURRENTLY OPEN FOR APPLICATION

 

SHERIFF’S TECHNICAL ASSISTANT 2, an entry-level clerical position with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. There are currently full-time and part-time opportunities available! This position requires an equivalent of at least two (2) years, full-time general office, clerical, and/or customer service experience. Starting pay begins at $17.25/hour. Applications are being accepted until noon on Thursday, September 30, 2021. 

 

SHERIFF’S TECHNICAL ASSISTANT 3, a mid-level full-time clerical position with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. This position requires a combined total of at least five (5) years of full-time general office, clerical, and/or customer service experience. Starting pay begins at $17.75/hour. Applications are being accepted until noon on Friday, October 29, 2021.

 

SHERIFF’S PUBLIC RECORDS SPECIALISTis a mid-level full-time clerical position that supports the Sheriff’s Office in the oversight, management, and coordination of public records requests and public disclosures. This position requires an equivalent to three (3) years’ full-time general office experience and one (1) year equivalent full-time experience working with public disclosure requests, data collection, and analysis, or extensive research duties. Starting pay begins at $18.87/hour. Applications are being accepted until noon on Thursday, September 30, 2021

 

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN, is a technical, full-time automotive position requiring knowledge in repairing vehicles and equipment for the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. This position requires a degree from an accredited college or University in automotive repair or related field and have an equivalent to at least three (3) years full-time professional experience in repair, service, and maintenance of automobiles and light trucks OR have completed a recognized mechanics apprenticeship program and have an equivalent to at least three (3) years full-time professional experience in repair, service, and maintenance of automobiles and light trucks OR an equivalent to at least ten (10) years full-time professional experience in repair, service, and maintenance of automobiles and light trucks. Must furnish own basic mechanic’s hand tools. Physical strength and agility are necessary to perform duties. Starting pay begins at $19.20/hour. Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis until the vacant positions are filled. 

 

In addition to the requirements for each position listed above, qualified applicants must be a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident, who can read and write the English language, be a high school graduate or equivalent, have a valid Driver’s License. Clerical positions must keyboard accurately at 45 WPM.
