UPDATE: Spokane Valley Shooting Investigation

 

Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives have identified the female suspect as 31-year-old Sabrina M. Heaton.  

 

Heaton has not been located and should be considered Armed and Dangerous.  

Do not approach Heaton and call 911.

 

** Detectives also need your help identifying a second female who arrived in the vehicle with Heaton.    

 

Major Crimes Detectives continue their investigation into the shooting that occurred last night in the 4200 block of N. Best in Spokane Valley.  They identified Sabrina M. Heaton as the shooting suspect, but she has not been located.  

 

Sabrina M. Heaton is described as a 32-year-old, 5’02” 130 lbs., white female with blond hair and brown eyes.  Heaton was last seen driving a black Volkswagen convertible with no license plates and a temporary tag in the rear window.  

 

second female accompanied Heaton, but she has not contacted law enforcement or been identified at this time. 

 

The victim remains in the hospital in serious but stable condition.   

 

Witnesses or urged to contact Detective Bohanek at 509-477-3223 with any tips or information that may help with this investigation.

Major Crimes Detectives Investigating Shooting in Spokane Valley  

 

Spokane Valley Major Crimes Detectives are at the scene of a shooting in Spokane Valley.  The male victim was transported to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.  The female suspect fled the scene and has not been located.

 

This incident does not appear to be random, and there is no known ongoing threat to the public.   

 

On August 26, 2021, at approximately 6:45 pm., Sheriff’s Deputies began to respond to a reported shooting in the 4200 block of N. Best in Spokane Valley.

 

Arriving Deputies located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound and immediately provided medical aid.  Spokane Valley Fire and AMR personnel arrived and took over the victim’s care.  The victim was transported to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.

 

The female suspect fled the scene following the shooting and has not been located.

 

Deputies secured the scene and began contacting witnesses.  Major Crimes Detectives and Forensic Unit personnel responded to the scene.

 

Initial information indicates this isn’t a random incident and there is no known ongoing threat to the public.
