Several Deputy, Administrative/Support/Clerical Staff Positions Open   

 

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office has several employment opportunities for new applicants.  These openings range from entry level positions to those needing experience.   In addition to the opportunity to start a career serving the Citizens of Spokane County, varying sign-on bonuses are available for new applicants.  (Some Conditions Apply, Persons Already Employed with Spokane County are Not Eligible) 

 

Offered Sign-On Bonus of up to:

(Only New Spokane County Employees-Conditions Apply) 

 

  • $15,000 for Intermediate and Lateral Deputies
  • $5,000 for entry level deputies
  • $3,000 for support/clerical staff 

 

SEVERAL DEPUTY POSITIONS OPEN FOR APPLICATION

 

We are hiring qualified applicants for several vacant Deputy positions.  This includes Entry Level, Intermediate Lateral, and Lateral Deputies.  Minimum requirements and qualifications for these levels can be found, along with pay and complete compensation details, at the link below. 

 

Entry Level: Salary $49,259 – $79,877 Annually, Total Compensation $63,051 – $102,243 Annually

Intermediate Lateral: Salary $59,196 – $79,877 Annually, Total Compensation $75,771 – $102,243 Annually 

Lateral: Salary $72,284 – $79,877 Annually, Total Compensation $95,524 – $102,243 Annually

SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS CURRENTLY OPEN FOR APPLICATION

 

SHERIFF’S TECHNICAL ASSISTANT 2, an entry-level clerical position with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. There are currently full-time and part-time opportunities available! This position requires an equivalent of at least two (2) years, full-time general office, clerical, and/or customer service experience. Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis until the vacant positions are filled. 

 

ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN 4, a higher-level full-time clerical position with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. This position requires an equivalent to five (5) years' full-time professional employment experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience. Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis until the vacant positions are filled.  

 

SHERIFF’S PUBLIC RECORDS SPECIALIST, a higher-level full-time clerical position that supports the Sheriff’s Office in the oversight, management, and coordination of public records requests and public disclosures. This position requires an equivalent to three (3) years’ full-time general office experience and one (1) year equivalent full-time experience working with public disclosure requests, data collection and analysis, or extensive research duties. Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis until the vacant positions are filled. 

 

GRANTS/CONTRACT COORDINATOR, a high-level, full-time position that works with the research, development, and preparation of contracts and grants for the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or University plus an equivalent to two (2) years full-time professional grant/contract experience OR an Associate Degree from an accredited college or University plus an equivalent to four (4) years full-time professional grant/contract experience.  Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis until the vacant positions are filled. 

 

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN, a technical, full-time automotive position requiring knowledge in the repair of vehicles and equipment for the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. This positions requires a degree from an accredited college or University in automotive repair or related field and have an equivalent to at least three (3) years full-time professional experience in repair, service, and maintenance of automobiles and light trucks OR have completed a recognized mechanics apprenticeship program and have an equivalent to at least three (3) years full-time professional experience in repair, service, and maintenance of automobiles and light trucks OR an equivalent to at least ten (10) years full-time professional experience in repair, service, and maintenance of automobiles and light trucks. Must furnish own basic mechanic’s hand tools. Physical strength and agility necessary to perform duties. In addition to the requirements for each position listed above, qualified applicants must be a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident, who can read and write the English language, be a high school graduate or equivalent, have a valid Driver’s License.  Clerical positions must keyboard accurately at 45 WPM.
