Several Clerical, Accounting, and Forensic Positions Available
SHERIFF’S TECHNICAL ASSISTANT 2, an entry-level clerical position with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. There are currently full-time and part-time opportunities available! This position requires an equivalent of at least two (2) years, full-time general office, clerical, and/or customer service experience. Applications are being accepted on a continuous basis until the vacant positions are filled. The starting pay will begin at $17.25 on the pay scale.
ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN 4, a higher-level full-time clerical position with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. This position requires an equivalent to five (5) years' full-time professional employment experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience. Applications are being accepted until 12:00 PM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. The starting pay will begin at $17.68 on the pay scale.
FORENSIC TECHNICIAN, a full-time position that supports the Sheriff's Office in performing extremely critical work in the identification of criminal offenders through the collection, preservation, and evaluation of physical evidence obtained from crime scenes. This position requires a successful completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major studies in forensic science, criminal justice, or other areas having a close bearing on forensics OR current employment with a law enforcement agency working within the criminal justice field with knowledge of either basic crime scene or latent prints and possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any area of study. This degree requirement is not intended to disqualify friction ridge examiners and crime scene investigators who are already trained to competency. Vision correctable to 20/20 with normal color vision and hearing correctable to normal ranges. Applications are being accepted until noon on Friday, July 30, 2021. The starting pay will begin at $18.25 on the pay scale.
In addition to the requirements for each position listed above, qualified applicants must be a United States citizen or lawful permanent resident, who can read and write the English language, be a high school graduate or equivalent, have a valid Driver’s License, and must keyboard accurately at 45 WPM.
