
Fatal Motorcycle Crash on S. Malloy Prairie Road
Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit Investigators are at the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash in South Spokane County. Malloy Prairie Road is closed, in the area of Harrison Road, for approximately two hours while the investigation is conducted.
On July 1, 2021, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a motorcycle crash on S. Malloy Prairie Road near S Harrison Road. Callers reported the rider was severely injured and not moving.
Spokane County Fire personnel arrived and provided medical aid, but unfortunately, the male rider (20s) of the Harley Davidson motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Arriving Deputies secured the scene until Traffic Unit Investigators arrived to continue the investigation.
Initial information indicates the motorcycle was traveling north on Malloy Prairie when the rider failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The motorcycle struck the guardrail, ejecting the rider. Despite wearing a helmet, the rider sustained severe injuries.
S. Malloy Prairie Road, in the area of Harrison Road, is expected to be closed for the next two hours while the investigation continues.
