ROAD CONSTRUCTION


Bigelow Gulch Phase 3
Road Reconstruction (remove and replace), culverts, stormwater, guardrail and illumination system. Completed: August 31, 2021. 

  

  Weile Av: CLOSED from Bigelow Gulch Rd to Thierman Rd – through August 31,

  2021.  Detour through Jensen Road.

 

Bigelow Gulch Road: from Weile Avenue to Weile Avenue 
 
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Only allowing access from Bigelow Gulch and Weile to the Koi Farm and Bill Johnson’s Differential Shop – through August 31, 2021.

 

Centennial Trail
Roadway excavation, embankment compaction, culvert pipe, crushed surfacing top course, hot mix asphalt, silt fence, wattles, seeding and mulching, temporary traffic control, erosion control. From Nine-Mile Dam to Carlson. Completed: July 9, 2021.

 

Chattaroy CTB
 Crews will pulverize the existing pavement and use Portland cement Type 2, spreading and mixing and other work. Motorists should expect delays Completed: July 31, 2021.

From US2 to Elk-Chattaroy/Hardesty Intersection. 

Flaggers and a pilot car may be present. Please slow down in the work zone and expect delays.

 

Frideger Road Bridge Replacement
The existing bridge will be removed for the construction of a new structure over Little Spokane River. The project includes the removal of the existing roadway and widening with the construction of the new roadway. Completed: October 31, 2021.

Frideger Rd: from Bridge #4902 Over Little Spokane River to Bridge #4902 Over Little Spokane River
Flaggers may be present (both directions, all lanes): Detour route in place on Bridges Road, Madison Road and Frideger Road. 


Geiger Blvd - Soda to Grove Rd *****ROAD CLOSED FROM THOMAS MALLEN TO GROVE*****LOCAL BUSINESSES ARE OPEN!
New road, including drywells, asphalt, signing, pavement marking. Dowdy and Geiger Road are Open. Completed: June 30, 2021.

 

Geiger Blvd: from Thomas Mallen Road to Spokane City Limits (Electric Ave)
 
Lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes): Geiger at Grove is closed. Crews will be working on removing existing roadway. Use Alternate Route. Electric Avenue is open. Thomas Mallon is open. Local businesses are open, please use extreme caution when travelling inside the work zone. Spotted is CLOSED.


Geiger Blvd: from Spokane City Limits (Electric Ave) to Thomas Mallen Rd 
Flaggers may be present (both directions, all lanes). Geiger Blvd is open to traffic. Construction continues in the area. Motorists should be prepared for lane closures, flagging and other construction delays. 
 

PRIVATE CONTRACTOR WORK BY PERMIT

 

STA Four Lakes Station

WM Winkler crews are paving First Avenue. The project includes the sidewalks, curbs and gutters – along with demolishing part of Spokane Street. 150-feet of road will be reduced to a seven-foot wide walking path south of First Avenue. Completed: July 30, 2021.

First Avenue: from Electric Ave. to Cheney Street.

ROAD CLOSED on First Avenue on the east and west side of Highway 904 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. as needed.

Asphalt Overlay on Bradshaw Rd from Old SR-195 to Cheney-Spangle Rd. Motorists should expect delays, lane restrictions and flaggers. Completed: July 1, 2021.

Bradshaw Rd: from Old SR-195 Hy to Cheney-Spangle Rd 
Expect delays, road restrictions and flaggers (both directions, all lanes): Asphalt Overlay on Bradshaw Rd from Old SR-195 to Cheney-Spangle Rd. 

 

Chip Sealing on Christensen Rd from Hwy. 2 to Bowie Rd. Expect delays and flaggers.
Crews are chip sealing on Christensen Rd from Hwy. 2 to Bowie Rd. Motorists should expect delays, flaggers and pilot vehicles through project. Completed: June 30, 2021.

Christensen Rd: from Bowie Rd to US-2
There will be delays (both directions, all lanes). Motorists should watch for flaggers and expect pilot cars through the project.  

 

Chip Sealing on Flint Rd from Greenwood Rd to Trails Rd.
Crews are chip sealing on Flint Rd from Greenwood Rd to Trails Rd. Expect delays, flaggers and pilot vehicles through project. Completed: June 28, 2021.

Flint Rd: from Greenwood Rd to Trails Rd 
Motorists should expect delays (both directions, all lanes). Please slow down, watch for flaggers and pilot cars guiding traffic through the project.

Crews are crack sealing on Bridges Rd from Sherman Rd to Division Rd. Expect lane restrictions and flaggers. Completed: June 30, 2021.

There will be lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists should slow down and watch for flaggers.

Crews are crack sealing on Dalton Rd from Burroughs Rd to the Deer Park City Limits. Expect lane restrictions and flaggers. Completed: June 30, 2021.

There will be lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists should slow down and watch for flaggers.  


Crack Sealing on Eloika Lake Rd from Division Rd to Hwy. 2.
Crews are crack sealing on Eloika Lake Rd from Division Rd to Hwy. 2. Expect lane restrictions & flaggers. Completed: July 8, 2021.

Eloika Lake Rd: from Division Rd to US-2 (Newport Hy)
There will be lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists should slow down and watch for flaggers.  

 

Euclid Rd Bridge Closure
Euclid Rd Bridge is closed and a detour is in place. Replacing the bridge is the responsibility of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

Pavement Removal & Replacement at the intersection of Elder Rd and Valley Chapel Rd. 
Crews are removing pavement and replacing it at the intersection of Elder Rd. and Valley Chapel Rd. Motorists should expect flaggers, lane restrictions and possible delays. Completed: June 30, 2021.

There will be lane restrictions (both directions, all lanes). Motorists should expect flaggers and possible delays. 


Pavement Removal & Replacement at the intersection of Valley Chapel Rd and Hangman Valley Rd.
Crews are removing pavement and replacing it at the intersection of Valley Chapel Rd and Hangman Valley Rd. Motorists should expect flaggers, lane restriction and possible delays. Completed: July 1, 2021.
