Traffic Unit Investigators Ask for the Public’s Help 


On May 4, 2021, just before 8:45 pm., Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a vehicle/pedestrian collision in the 4800 block of E. Sprague Ave. in Spokane Valley. The adult male pedestrian received severe
injuries and will need months of treatment, but he is expected to survive.

 

Traffic Unit Investigators would like to talk to anyone who witnessed the crash on Tuesday evening, May 4, 2021, at approximately 8:45 pm.  They would also like to contact anyone or any business that may have captured video moments prior to the crash, the crash itself, or the aftermath.  

 

Anyone with information is asked to contact Traffic Corporal Todd Miller at 509-477-3195.  

 

On May 4, 2021, just before 8:45 pm., Spokane Valley Deputies responded to the vehicle/ pedestrian crash in the 4800 block of E. Sprague.  Due to the severity of the injuries sustained by the pedestrian, Traffic Unit Investigators were also called to the scene. 

 

Spokane Valley Fire Department Firefighters and AMR personnel arrived at the scene before Deputies.  They began life-saving medical treatment for the adult male pedestrian who sustained severe and possibly life-threatening injuries.  He was transported to a hospital for continued care.     

 

The adult female driver of the vehicle involved, a silver Hyundai Elantra 4-door sedan, remained at the scene and was contacted by Deputies and Traffic Unit Investigators.  

 

The collision occurred on Sprague Ave., between Custer and Chronicle.   The Hyundai was traveling east on Sprague, and the pedestrian was pushing a wheel and tire as he attempted to cross Sprague, traveling southward.
