Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes New Lateral Deputy
On Friday morning, April 16, 2021, Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich swore in a new Lateral addition to the Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Matt Costello.
Deputy Matt Costello is 35-years-old and has lived in the Spokane area his entire life, attending high school in the Mead area. He previously served as a Kalispel Tribal Police Officer (since 2018) before joining the Sheriff’s Office. He has worked in corrections as a Corrections Officer at the Airway Heights Correction Center from 2007-2013 and owned his own home remodeling business.
