ROAD CONSTRUCTION

Bigelow Gulch Phase 3 *****PROJECT START DATE APRIL 19, 2021*****
 Road Reconstruction (Remove and Replace), Culverts, Stormwater, Guardrail and Illumination system. Completed: August 31, 2021. 

Bigelow Gulch Rd: from Argonne Rd to Weile Av 
Flaggers May Be Present (Both Directions, All Lanes): Utilities are currently working in the right-of-way. 

 

Centennial Trail
 Roadway excavation, embankment compaction, culvert pipe, crushed surfacing top course, hot mix asphalt, silt fence, wattles, seeding and mulching, temporary traffic control, erosion control. From Nine-Mile Dam to Carlson.


Geiger Blvd- Soda to Grove Rd *****ROAD CLOSED FROM THOMAS MALLEN TO GROVE*** LOCAL BUSINESSES ARE OPEN
 New Road, including Drywells, Asphalt, signing, pavement marking. Dowdy and Geiger Road are Open. Completed: June 30, 2021.

Geiger Bv: from Thomas Mallen Rd to Spokane City Limits (Electric Ave)
Lane Restrictions (Both Directions, All Lanes): Geiger at Grove is closed. Crews will be working on removing existing roadway. Use Alternate Route. Electric Avenue is open. Thomas Mallon is open. Local businesses are open, please use extreme caution when travelling inside the work zone. Spotted is closed. 


PRIVATE CONTRACTOR WORK BY PERMIT


Midway Rd. and Hatch Rd. – Add Anchors and Guy Wires on existing pole.
 Avista crew will be working at the intersection of Midway and Hatch Rd. to add anchors and guy wires on existing pole No. 448935. Completed: April 16, 2021.

Strong Rd. from Dorset Rd. to Prescott Rd. 

Crew will be working to cut off the gas main west of Five-Mile Rd. on the south side of Strong Rd. near 3515 W. Strong Rd. Completed: April 16, 2021.

Clear Lake Rd. from Oriole Av. To Moody Dr.
 Avista crew will be working to repair a gas line near reg. station approximately 430-feet south of Oriole Av. on the west side of Clear Lake Rd. Completed: April 16, 2021.

65th Av. from Ben Burr Rd. to Yale Rd.
Avista crew will install XFMR on pole on the south side of 65th Av. east of Ben Burr Rd. Dates: April 19-23, 2021.

Assembly Rd. from 29th Av. to Garden Springs Rd. 
Comcast-sub Sefnco crew installing overlash 48CT Fiber from pole #15 (019915) to pole #17 (086387) on the corner of Assembly and 29th. They will pull the 48CT Fiber through the existing riser on pole #17. The work will continue north into the City of Spokane limits. Completed: April 29, 2021.

Lane Closed (Both Directions, All Lanes): Single Lane Closure with flaggers


Parksmith Dr. from Market St. to Market St.
 Avista crew will replace a pole and anchor located approximately 100-yards from the northeast corner of Parksmith and Market. Completed: April 16, 2021.

Fairview Heights Rd. from the north end of the road to US-2
 Baker Construction is making road improvements for Diamond Mini Storage. Completed: April 16, 2021.

Richland Rd. from Hayford Rd. to Blackberry St.
 Winkler Construction crew will tie into an existing water main on Richland Rd. approximately 110-yards south of Safflower Lane. Date/time: April 20. 2021 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

UG and Aerial Construction
Quanta Telecommunication Services crew will be doing UG and Aerial construction along Freya St. from 55th Av to 57th Av…and on the north side of 57th from Freya St. to the Palouse Highway and on the north side of 57th from Ben Burr Rd. to Dearborn Rd. Completed: May 10, 2021.

 ZeroDB Communications is the contractor for AYO Fiber relocation and bore crossing from the northwest corner of the intersection of Farwell and Market to the southwest corner of Farwell and Market. Completed: April 30, 2021.

Euclid Rd Bridge Closure
 Euclid Rd Bridge is closed and a detour is in place. Replacing the bridge is the responsibility of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. 

Euclid Rd: from Bridge #1508 Over BNSF to Lyons Rd 
Road Closed – Euclid Rd Bridge Closed

 

Francis and Country Homes Blvd.

Crews are street sweeping residential areas between Francis Av. and Country Homes Blvd. 

 

Spokane County crews are repairing potholes and grading gravel roads as the weather permits.
