SPOKANE COUNTY, April 13, 2021 –– Spokane County has announced the opening of recruitment for the hiring of twelve corrections officers with Spokane County Detention Services (SCDS).  

Starting salary range for these positions is between $49,753 - $63,684/yr. Total compensation for these positions, which includes a benefits package comprised of medical, dental, retirement, life insurance, etc. ranges from $63,684 - $81,746/yr.  

Paid training, which includes 10 weeks in the Correction Officer Academy is a requisite for successful applicants.  

Applicants are required to be a high school graduate and have at least 2 years of responsible work experience after completion of high school. Applicants must also have a valid driver’s license and be in good physical condition.  

In addition to the Correction Officer positions, SCDS is also hiring cooks and technical assistants.
