Major Crimes Detectives Ask for the Public’s Help Locating the Suspect of a Violent Domestic Violence Assault

 

** Suspect Should Be Considered Armed and Dangerous **

 

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a violent domestic assault that occurred early this morning in the 4900 block of E. Upriver Drive.  The suspect, 43-year-old Yevgeniy A. Dyfort, stole the victim’s car and fled the area.  

 

Investigators have probable cause to arrest Dyfort for charges of Assault 2nd Degree, Harassment-Threats to Kill, Arson 1st Degree, and Unlawful Imprisonment.  Dyfort should be Considered Armed and Dangerous; please do not approach him.  If you see Dyfort or the stolen vehicle or know of their location, please call 911 or Crime Check 509-456-2233, reference #10029649. 

 

  • Stolen Vehicle: Brown 2010 Toyota Venza with Washington license plates BUA2629.

 

  • Yevgeniy A. Dyfort: 43-year-old, white male, 5’08”, 145 lbs., Brown Hair, and Hazel Eyes.

 

The victim, an adult female, was transported to the hospital for continued treatment, but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

  

Major Crimes Detectives remain at the scene to conduct interviews and process evidence as this investigation continues.
