Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes 4 New Entry Level Deputies and 1 New Lateral Deputy

On Monday morning, February 15, 2021, Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich swore in four new entry-level Deputies and one new Lateral Deputy.  

 

Deputy Hector Ledezma is 31-years-old and from Royal City, Washington.  He earned an AA Degree in Business from Big Bend Community College and played football for Eastern Washington University and Central Washington University while continuing his higher education.  He was previously employed by the Washington State Employment Security Department.  Deputy Ledezma is scheduled to attend the Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA Class 819) beginning on February 23, 2021, here in Burien this March.   

 

Deputy Brianna “Bri” McCuiston grew up in Sammamish, WA., and is 26-years-old.    She graduated with honors from Central Washington University with a degree in Geography and was previously employed by Expedia as a Health and Safety Specialist.  Deputy McCuiston is scheduled to attend the Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA Class 818) starting this month in Spokane.   

 

Deputy Kim Sipes is 27-years-old and was born and raised in southern California. She comes to us from Spokane County Detention Services, where she was employed as a Corrections Officer. Deputy Sipes will be attending the Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA Class 819) in Burien this March.

 

Deputy Anthony Gosline is a 25-year-old Spokane native who attended Gonzaga Prep. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology/Sports Psychology from Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, WA) and was previously employed by the Department of Natural Resources as a Wildland Fire Fighter. Deputy Gosline will be attending the Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA Class 819) in Burien this March.

Deputy Nicholas Giese is a 27-year-old Lateral Deputy from Guadalupe, CA., where he served as a Police Officer with the Santa Monica Police Department since 2014.  He will complete his Spokane County Sheriff’s Office orientation training in mid-March.
