The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is testing and accepting applications for Sheriff's Technical Assistant 2. (various technical and/or clerical duties)

 

*****THERE ARE TWO CURRENT OPENINGS: ONE FULL-TIME AND ONE PART-TIME*****

THIS JOB POSTING IS TO CREATE ELIGIBILITY LISTS FOR ALL SHERIFF’S TECHNICAL ASSISTANT 2 (STA2) POSITIONS IN THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. THERE WILL BE OPTIONS TO BE PLACED ON EITHER THE FULL-TIME LIST, A NEW PARTTIME LIST OR BOTH LISTS.

Spokane County agrees to fund a 50% (20 hours per week) Sheriff’s Technical Assistant 2 (STA2) with benefits (at the 50% employee rate). This position will be at 50% for 2021 and the Sheriff’s Office will work on making it a full-time employee position starting in 2022. A review of the position will occur no later than Dec 1, 2021.  The position will be assigned to the Forensics Unit and report to the Forensics Unit supervisors.  Generally, the days of work and hours for this position will occur during dayshift, three days per week.

Oral Board Interviews: Will be held at a later date.  

 

PLEASE NOTEAll testing and interviews must be conducted in-person at the applicant's expense. No Skype, over-the-phone, or outside testing facilities are permitted. No exceptions. Testing is to create an eligibility list only for future vacancies.   If you are on the current eligibility list, you do not need to re-apply.


Pay:
 $14.48 - $19.54 Hourly

TOTAL COMPENSATION: $38,553.90 - $52,023.40 annually. Total compensation is an estimate based upon base compensation, median retirement fund contributions, and current employer-paid health and related benefit contribution rates (including medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability, and leave). The actual total will vary depending upon each employee's enrollment choices.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

A United States citizen or lawful permanent resident, who can read and write the English language; high school graduate or equivalent; two years, full-time, general office and/or secretarial experience. May substitute one year of additional education in office practices, secretarial science or related coursework for up to one year of the required experience. Keyboard accurately at 45 WPM.
