Have You Seen this Toyota Prius?
Spokane Valley Patrol Deputies are attempting to locate this silver 2017 Toyota Prius to check the welfare of a possible domestic violence victim. Witnesses reported they observed the male driver assault the female passenger. When she got out of the Prius, the male grabbed the female by the hand, pulled her back into the car, and drove away. Deputies were unsuccessful in locating the vehicle and are asking for the public’s help.
On September 30, 2020, at approximately 10:50 a.m., Spokane Valley Deputies responded to a report of a female being assaulted in a parking lot located in the 5600 block of E. Sprague in Spokane Valley.
Witnesses stated the male driver struck the female passenger several times. When the victim exited the car, the suspect grabbed her by the hand, pulled her back to the passenger door, and pushing her back inside. He got back in the driver’s seat and drove away. The vehicle was last seen traveling east through the parking lot.
Deputies believe the suspect and victim are married from information received as part of the investigation, and this is a domestic violence-related incident.
The vehicle is described as a silver 2017 Toyota Prius with Montana license plates 134153L. Witnesses stated there appeared to be a white sticker of a dog or similarly shaped animal on the driver’s side door.
The white male driver is believed to be in his upper 60’s, approximately 5’05”, 150 lbs, and dark hair. He was last seen wearing an orange long-sleeved shirt.
The female victim is believed to be in her 70’s and described as tan/white, approximately 4’10”, 110 lbs, and dark hair.
