UPDATE: Second Robbery Suspect Identified and Arrested

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives identified and arrested the second female robbery suspect believed to have violently assaulted an employee of Plato’s Closet last June.

On August 13, 2020, the suspect identified as 30-year-old Yuliya V. Ivanova, was contacted by an Airway Heights Police Officer (AWHPD) on an unrelated call.

Spokane County Major Crimes Detective Bohanek heard Ivanova’s name being checked over the radio and informed AWHPD; he had probable cause to charge Ivanova with Robbery 1st Degree stemming from the Plato’s Closet robbery investigation.

Detective Bohanek charged the first Plato’s Closet robbery suspect, 32-year-old Heather M. Roberts, after Patrol Deputies contacted her on July 12, 2020.

Ivanova, having several warrants for her arrest, was transported by AWHPD to the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit to be interviewed, but she refused to answer questions.

Detective Bohanek booked Ivanova into the Spokane County Jail for Robbery 1st Degree.  She was also booked on two unrelated no-bail felony warrants charging her with Identity Theft, 2nd Degree Theft, Forgery, and Money Laundering, as well as, two misdemeanor warrants for Theft 3rd Degree.
