2020: Fall Second Half Property Tax Due Date Extension
August 27th: Treasurer Michael Baumgartner announced an extension of the 2020 fall second half real estate & personal property taxes in Spokane County from October 31st through December 31st, 2020. Second half real estate & personal property taxes paid by December 31st will not accrue interest and penalty charges. First half property taxes were due June 15th.
Important Information to Know:
- The extension only applies to 2020 Spokane County property taxes.
- This does not waive or reduce your property tax obligations.
- Property taxes paid by intermediaries such as mortgage loan service providers that pay taxes on behalf of taxpayer escrow accounts remain due by October 31st.
- Payments received after December 31st will accrue interest charges as applicable by state law.
Taxpayers able to do so are urged to still pay by October 31st. On time payments supports local government services and allows more taxpayers needing assistance to defer their property tax payments.
