One Vehicle Fatal Crash on W. Trails Road in West Spokane County
Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies and Traffic Collision Investigators responded to a one-vehicle rollover, fatal crash on W. Trails Road, near N. Old Trails Road. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger, who was conscious, was transported to the hospital.
On June 12, 2020, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies, assisted by Kalispell Tribal Police and Airway Heights Police Officers, responded to the report of a one-vehicle crash near W. Trails Road, near N. Old Trails Road.
From witness information and evidence at the scene, it appears the Honda, driven by the male, was traveling east on W. Trails Road. Witnesses stated the vehicle did not appear to be speeding and or doing anything out of the ordinary.
The Honda left the roadway and drove into the ditch, overturned, and struck a tree. The passenger was removed from the vehicle by Kalispell Tribal Police and Airway Heights Police Officers and provided medical treatment.
The adult male driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The adult female passenger, who was conscious and alert, was transported to the hospital for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic Collision Investigators were called to the scene to continue the investigation and SIRT Team volunteers responded to provide traffic control.
