The Spokane County Assessor’s Office is undergoing the purchase of Cama Cloud MobileAssessor, a mobile app to assist the work of field assessors.
With this new technology, field assessors will be able to complete all inspections from the field and the data collected will be instantaneously reviewed for quality control from the office.
The technology will allow field assessors to save time, increase productivity, and reduce expenses while never manually routing or collating field visits again. Cama Cloud also has the Instant PhotoBase function, which provides automatic photo uploads, synchronization and image association to the parcel record in real time.

Spokane County Assessor Tom Konis, stated, “MobileAssessor will reduce our inspection time, meaning our assessments will be quicker, more accurate, and fairer to the citizens of Spokane County. There are twenty-two hardworking field assessors who will benefit from these devices. Even as the economy continues to grow and these employees continue to see an increase in their workload, we will likely be able to maintain the current staffing levels.”
There are 214,900 real property parcels in the County. By statute, the Assessor’s Office is required to physically inspect approximately 36,000 parcels, or 1/6 of the county, every year. The product will cost $245,000 for all Field Assessors in the County, and will be used for both residential and commercial appraisals.
Chair of the Spokane County Board of Commissioners, Mary Kuney stated, “One of our top priorities at the County is to keep the cost of doing business down. One way we do that is through the investment of new technologies, like Cama Cloud MobileAssessor, which has a proven track record of saving Counties money and making staff more efficient.”
