Follow Up Investigation of Possible Hit & Run

 

Spokane Valley Traffic Unit Investigators and Detectives continue to follow up on a reported hit and run that occurred on Williams Road, north of Trent last Tuesday evening.  


On April 23, 2019, prior to 7:00 p.m., Spokane Valley Fire Department (SVFD) responded to a medical call of a male bleeding in the area of N. Williams Road, north of Trent.  SVFD personnel arrived at the scene and provided medical treatment to an adult male who was transported due to his injuries, including a possible broken leg.  SVFD requested a Deputy to respond, believing the male may have been a victim of a hit and run. 


Spokane Valley Deputies arrived and began the initial investigation.


Late last night, Deputies received information the victim, who had sustained serious but not believed to be life-threatening injuries, died earlier in the evening while in the hospital.     


Today, Investigators continued their work at the scene.


The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the decedent along with the cause and manner of death at a later date, when appropriate.
