One Vehicle Fatal Crash on S. Gardner Road

Early this morning, Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on S. Gardner Rd. in Southwest Spokane County.  The adult male driver and only occupant of the vehicle was unfortunately pronounced deceased at the scene.

On April 20, 2019, at approximately 5:45 a.m., Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a single vehicle crash in the 11900 block of S. Gardner Rd.  The caller reported a one vehicle rollover crash and the driver did not appear to be alive.

Deputies and Fire personnel arrived at the scene where the driver was pronounced deceased.

Traffic Unit Investigators were requested to continue the investigation.  The initial investigation shows the Honda was traveling south on Gardner Rd. when it left the roadway.  The vehicle continued into a ditch and began to roll before colliding with a large tree.

The driver was found not to be wearing a seat belt.  Speed was a factor and impairment may be a factor in this fatal crash.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the decedent along with the cause and manner of death at a later date, when appropriate.
