Spokane County Major Crimes Detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Inland Northwest Bank located at 518 W. Francis in North Spokane.
At approximately 10:50 a.m. an Inland Northwest Bank employee call 911 and reported a suspect entered the bank, approached one of the tellers and demanded money. The suspect stated he had a gun but did not display a weapon. The suspect was last seen leaving the bank and fleeing on foot.
Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies and Spokane Police Officers responded and quickly setup a perimeter. A K9 searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect.
A dye pack given to the suspect with the money exploded once the suspect fled from the bank, possibly staining the suspect with red ink.
