PAW-ART in August at SCRAPS

06-Riley (2) (726x1024) (454x640)

Local artists will be creating and selling their animal-themed masterpieces with a portion of the proceeds going back to SCRAPS. Guests are invited to watch as the works are created right before their eyes here at the shelter.

You don’t have to be a trained artist to create something spectacular either. Guests can become part of the SCRAPS Community Paw-art Project. Participants get a small sample of paint and pour it onto a prepared canvas that will be auctioned off later to help support the shelter.

Even pets can become Paw-casos by creating their own, individual works of art with a little help and non-toxic paint. Admission to the event is free. A small fee ($1 and $3) will be charged for participating in the art projects.

List of participating artists:

August 4th – Nancy Rothwell and Jerry Mudge
August 11th - Sandy Aronson and Cheryl Halverson
August 18th - Marsha Marcuson and Steven Belzman
August 25th – Keiko Von Holt and Elizabeth Scott
