National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims

Wednesday, September 19, 2018

Victim Advocates of the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office to Honor the Memories of Murder Victims
**********************************************

For over ten years, every September, the Victim Advocates from the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office have been recognizing the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims.

Offering a personal invitation to the community, Annette Ingham, Victim/Witness Manager with the Spokane County Prosecutors Office said, “This is an opportunity for the community to recognize victims through participating in a special candlelight vigil outside of the Spokane County Courthouse. We want community members to remember their loved ones in the way they feel appropriate, whether that is by reading a story, a poem, showing a picture, or anything similar. This is a chance to celebrate the life of victims and not how they died.”
