The Spokane Regional Law and Justice Council functions in compliance with RCW 72.09.300 and SRLJC Resolution 18-020

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Spokane Regional Law and Justice Council is to create and sustain a cost-effective, racially equitable regional criminal justice system that builds a healthy and strong community by fostering the best possible outcomes for the community, including reducing recidivism and increasing system collaboration.


The SRLJC holds regular meetings* on the second Wednesday of each month from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in the Spokane Regional Health District Building at 1101 W. College Avenue (Room 140)

* Cancelations of regularly scheduled meetings will be posted on this website


Current bylaws revised 5/10/17

On 10/31/18 the SRLJC have been notified and sent the following Draft SRLJC Bylaws 11/14/18 and have been given the following information:  

Please see the attached copy of the draft SRLJC bylaws, which incorporates the changes made by the Strategic Planning workgroup, as well as input received from the SRLJC and community members at the last SRLJC meeting.

Please note the following three items:

  1. The “racially equitable” language has been added to the Mission statement (highlighted);
  2. Article II A has 3 options for your consideration (highlighted);
  3. Article X B a portion of sentence stricken (highlighted).

At our Nov. 14, 2018 SRLJC meeting, you then have the option to vote on the adoption of these bylaws, including your chosen language for #2 above.
