The Evening Reporting Program (ERP) began in October 2005, and is an alternative to confinement for youth who have violated their conditions of probation. Youth are ordered to the program between 1 and 15 days.
This after school hours program is located at the Structured Alternative Confinement School next to the Juvenile Court building. Youth are held accountable by attending classes with evidence-based components that focus on needs identification and building skills which help prevent re-offending and future probation violations. They are also introduced to pro-social activities in the community which help build protective factors. Recreational activities take place at Riverfront Park and the nearby YMCA. A family component is conducted by a family therapist once a week.
