Licensing your dogs and cats serves as proof of ownership, can help ensure they return home if ever lost, and directly supports the sheltering of and care for Spokane County's lost, homeless, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals.
General Licensing Information
Pet licensing is mandatory in all areas of Spokane County within 30 days of acquiring a dog or cat six months of age or older. We recommend that the license be attached to a substantial collar and worn by your dog or cat at all times.
Pet License Fees
Intact (not spayed/neutered)
Seniors (age 65 or older) receive a $5 discount for one spayed/neutered cat license or a $10 discount for one spayed/neutered dog license.
