The mission of the Spokane County Horticultural Pest and Disease Board is to sustain our economy by alleviating pest and plant disease problems that impact the quality of horticultural products grown in our county. We will preserve the productivity and diversity of agricultural products in the most cost efficient manner from the impact of pests and diseases. We will also protect human health and the environment by promoting the implementation of Integrated Pest Management control measures. Identification and control of pests of concern to a lower level of significance.
The board is comprised of four county citizen volunteer representatives, one WSU Extension Agent, and one member appointed by the Director of WSDA.
