GENERAL FACILITY ADJUSTMENTS*

*Program-specific adjustments are listed below.

Masks:

  • Patrons receiving first aid care from aquatic employees will be asked to wear a facial covering before receiving care in most circumstances unless fully vaccinated.
  • Facial coverings must be worn while ordering and receiving food from the concession stand unless fully vaccinated.
  • Facial coverings are not required (but are welcomed) for patrons utilizing their personal seating area as long as a minimum 6’ distance is maintained between households.
  • Facial coverings should NOT be worn while in the water, using waterslides, or actively showering.
  • Patrons are asked to provide their own face covering, but disposable masks will be available on site.

Physical Distancing & Traffic Flow:

  • Every person must maintain physical distancing guidelines of at least six feet of separation from individuals from other households in the facility at all times to the greatest extent possible unless fully vaccinated.
  • Please utilize the same lounge chairs or picnic table throughout your entire visit; these items will be disinfected by staff in between each swim session.

Restrooms:

  • Some toilets, sinks, and showers will be closed to ensure at least 6 feet of physical distancing between users in communal restroom/locker room areas.
  • As restroom/locker room facilities will be limited, patrons are asked to arrive at the facility with their swimsuit already on.
  • Limited showers will be available in the locker rooms, but outdoor showers are available for the required pre-swim shower.
  • Patrons are encouraged to leave the facility in their swimsuits and change at home if they are able to avoid crowding or lines in the locker rooms.

Maximum Capacities:

  • Maximum capacity of the facility will be reduced to promote physical distancing between all individuals or household groups within the facility.  Spokane County Recreation Program Manager has worked with the Spokane Regional Health Department to develop temporary maximum capacities at each facility that are compliant with the Washington State Department of Health document Water Recreation Facility Occupancy Supplemental Guidance.
  • Maximum capacity of each area will be posted at the entrance to each outdoor or interior space and enforced by aquatic staff.

Hygiene & Sanitization:

  • Please wash or sanitize your hands before and after use of the facility.
  • Hand sanitizer will be made available throughout the facility.
  • In addition to our regular daily cleaning schedule, high-touch surfaces shall be frequently cleaned and disinfected.

  • Patrons will be asked to verbally confirm that they are free of any COVID-19 symptoms before entering the facility.
  • Touch-free temperature screening will be made available as needed.
  • If a patron tests positive for COVID-19 within 7 days of visiting our facility we would ask that they notify Spokane County Parks, Recreation, and Golf Department.
  • Each open swim patron will acknowledge a waiver of consent and commitment to the facility’s COVID-19 policies at time of purchase of their swim session entry reservation.
  • If a patron develops symptoms of COVID-19 while at the facility, they will be asked to leave immediately, and the Incident Reporting guidelines below will be applied.
  • If an employee or patron reports a positive test result for COVID-19, Spokane County management and the Spokane Regional Health Department will be notified.
  • Rosters of all employees, work schedules, swim lesson participants, swim team participants, and open swim attendees will be kept on file for a minimum of 28 days and made available to SRHD for contract tracing procedures upon request.
  • Spokane County will coordinate with SRHD to contact all impacted parties as appropriate.
