Picnic Shelters, Event Permits & Campground

COVID-19 Update: Spokane County is currently not accepting shelter reservations or special event requests due to COVID-19 safety restrictions, and the exact start date for accepting reservations is undetermined. In the interim, completing the Special Event Permit Application places your contact information on a distribution list which ensures you will be among the first to receive notice when the opening date for reservations has been determined.  Staff will continue to carefully monitor COVID guidelines and Spokane County’s Phase of Reopening status so that we can begin accepting reservations as soon as possible.

Reserve a picnic shelter

Picnic shelter reservations allow for exclusive use of a shelter for an entire day (typically 7:00 am to 9:30 pm). When no reservation is in place, these shelters are open to all park users on a first-come, first-served basis. Park staff clean and stock park restrooms daily, typically from May 1 – September 30 (season may vary slightly from year to year). Please be aware that there are NO services (e.g. restroom, electricity and water) prior to May 1st and after September 30th.

Camp Caro Lodge is typically available for reservations  between May 1st - September 30th. Capacity of the lodge is 75 people. As part of your reservation, you can select “Package A,” which also includes a portion of the outdoor lawn and allows for a larger group size (up to 150 attendees).
