Treasurer's Office COVID-19 Response & Resources

By order of the Governor, the Treasurer's Office is currently closed for in-person services. Tax payments and other Treasurer's Office transactions are not available at the counter as you may be accustomed to. Our staff are available by phone and email 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday to assist you with the exception of holidays. Many of our services are also available online.

Below are taxpayer resources and more information on our response to current public health mandates in place. We thank you for your patience as we work to continue to provide the services you expect from us during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Treasurer's Office 2020 Property Tax Due Date Extensions: 


Under authority granted by state law during a state of emergency, Treasurer Baumgartner authorized an extension of 2020 second half property taxes in Spokane County from October 31 through December 31, 2020. Learn more about available tax extensions. 


Property Tax Payment Options: 
  • Pay online: Taxes can be paid online by eCheck, debit or credit card. A fee set by the vendor is charged for online payments.
  • Mail: Return original tax stubs and check or money order payable to: Spokane County Treasurer PO Box 199 Spokane, WA 99210. Mailed payments must be postmarked by the tax due date.
  • Phone: Taxes can be paid by eCheck, debit or credit card using our interactive voice response (IVR) system. A fee, set by the vendor is charged for payments processed by phone. Call the Treasurer’s Office line at (509) 477-4713.
  • Drop Box: Three drop boxes are available for property tax payments by check or money order. Excise documents may also be submitted in Treasurer's Office drop boxes. Drop boxes are located curbside on W. Broadway Ave in front of the Courthouse, at the Courthouse entrance and in the Courthouse Annex. The Treasurer's Office provides many of the forms taxpayers request online including for excise tax, mobile home, property tax refund, and other transactions. Call our office at (509) 477-4713 for additional assistance completing your transactions.
