COVID-19 Electronic Petition filing vs in person

As part of our goal to promote community safety during the COVID 19 pandemic, Petitioners do not need to personally appear in court to apply for a Temporary Protection Order during this emergency. Please select and complete a Petition for a Temporary Protection Order from https://www.spokanecounty.org/2789/civil-protection-orders. After you complete the form, save the form and send it as an attachment to civilprotectionorder@spokanecounty.org. A judge will review your petition weekdays from 1:15 to 3:15 pm. There are no reviews on the weekend. You will be notified regarding the status of your Petition the same day the Petition is reviewed, and you may receive further instructions at that time.
