Spokane Recycles Annual Poster Contest

2018 Spokane County Recycles Poster Contest

Spokane County kids in grades K - 8 submitted artwork for the 2018 Spokane County Recycles Poster Contest with the theme: "The Power Of Recycling Is..." The winners (announced on Nov. 15) will have their artwork displayed at River Park Square from Oct. 30th to Nov. 19th. The finalists received special recognition at a Solid Waste Advisory Board meeting in November as part of the America Recycles Day celebration. Fifteen posters will be selected from the finalists to illustrate the 2019 Spokane Recycles Calendar.

The primary considerations for judging were, in priority:

  • The use of theme "The Power of Recycling is..."
  • Originality
  • Artistic ability - attractive and grade appropriate (Tip: make any text large enough to be legible at a distance.)
